Principal's welcome

Greenslopes State School has been providing high quality education for generations of families in our local area since 1890.

The school is deeply immersed in an ethos that supports student participation and engagement across a variety of academic, sporting and cultural domains within a positive and supportive environment.

Already in 2016, the school has a dedicated visual arts program in place for each class from Prep to Year Six.  Students have participated in a variety of sporting competitions with students representing, not just the school and district but at the Regional Level as well.

The school community works to support student learning in a positive and caring manner.  The Bridge Builders program sees our selected students in Years 5 and 6, trained to help identify possible disputes and conflicts in the playground, and intervene in a deliberately constructive and positive manner to resolve these issues.  These 'Bridge Builders' are highly visible in the playgrounds across all areas of our school, and this is just one example of how the community at Greenslopes State School not only encourages student leadership but also values and fosters a sense of a positive well-being within every student.

Over the last years, the school has grown in size, yet continues to maintain its inclusive and community feel by embracing diversity within.

It is with great honour that I serve the community of Greenslopes State School, and I look forward to working with all of you, to maintain and enhance the school's high expectations and standards that have become entrenched in Greenslopes State School.

Yours sincerely
